Lab of Structural and Functional Analysis takes “fully open and comprehensive support” as the theme, and provides technical support rangingfrom protein preparation to protein structural and functional analysis. The Lab is composed of four modules of protein sample preparation, protein characterization, structure determinationand function analysis. It is the main technical supporting and public sharing laboratory for carrying out structural and functional studies atvarious levels from molecule to cell.
The Lab mainly provides the maintenance and management of the large public sharing instruments forprotein preparation, protein-protein interaction analysis, high-throughput screening of protein crystal growth, X-ray diffraction data collection, NMR spectroscopy, flow cytometry and isotope laboratory, etc. And the lab also carries out researches on related experimental methodology improvement and instrument innovation as well.
The core is staffed by fifteen full-time employees, six with Ph.D degrees and seven with Masters Degrees, and ten of them have Senior Engineer title. Scientific oversight of the core is provided by Dr. Xuemei Li.
