Postdoctoral fellows in Dr. Zhu's laboratory at the IBP, CAS,  Friday, December 3, 2008

Ping Zhu's lab is focusing on the research of the structure and function of macrobiomolecules and their complexes using cryo electron microscopy (cryoEM), especially cryo electron tomography (cryoET). Main research interests include the structural features of envelope glycoproteins (ENV) on the surface of AIDS viruses (HIV-1 and closely related SIV), the structural mechanism of epigenetics, and the structures and functions of other biologically or medically important molecules, viruses or cells etc.

Two or three postdoctoral positions are available now. Candidates are expected to get a PhD in structural biology, virology, immunology, molecular cell biology or related research area recently. We are seeking motivated professionals with tracked training records in research and good writing and communication skills in English. Experience in protein/virus purification, electron microscopy analysis or epigenetics will be desirable.

Applicants should send a detailed CV, PDF version of representative papers, contact information of two references to Ping Zhu (zhup@ibp.ac.cn) or Xiao-Xing Huang (octobermary@moon.ibp.ac.cn), Tel: 010-64836103.
