Updated: 2014-06-11

Biosensors are widely utilized in many fields, including manufacturing, medical detection, environmental detection, and so on.

Professor YUE Jiachang of the Institute of Biophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences is an expert at developing ATP motor based biosensors. After many years of hard work, he has developed a biosensor able to rapidly detect such pathogens as virus with high sensitivity.

During the 24th Anniversary World Congress on Biosensors which was held at Melbourne, Australia from 27-30 May, 2014, his biosensor design won the 1st Prize of the Biosensors & Bioelectronics Award for the most original contribution.

Professor YUE is now cooperating with companies to transform his invention to applications as well as constantly improving the technology.
