CAS Institute of Biophysics holds meeting on clean governance
A meeting was held by the Institute of Biophysics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences on June 24 to further strengthen its education on clean governance and mark the 99th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China.
The Institute of Biophysics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) convened a meeting on June 24 to further strengthen its education on clean governance and commemorate the 99th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC).

Wang Hongyan, secretary of the Party Committee of the Institute of Biophysics and vice-president of the institute, presided at the gathering. He conveyed key points of a circular by the CAS Bureau of Personnel on the removal of administrative assistant posts and a decision by the CAS Leading Party Members' Group on the cultivation of young talents.
Wang briefed the meeting on the progress of the institute's inspection and rectification. He noted that all departments and organizations at the institute must firmly implement the rectification measures and accept public supervision and inspection in response to the weaknesses and loopholes found in CAS management by the inspection team of the CAS Leading Party Members' Group.
Wang urged middle-level cadres to further raise their sense of responsibility, strengthen personal capabilities related to basic businesses and leadership, conduct self-inspection, and make more contributions to the institute's reform and innovative growth.
Yang Xingxian, secretary of the Party Committee for Discipline Inspection at the Institute of Biophysics, read two classic cases recently issued by CAS to attendees, gave educational warnings to participants, and instructed them to draw lessons from the classical cases and to enhance personal awareness of the need to abide by Party discipline and laws and to stay far away from corruption.
Yang emphasized that all middle-level cadres at the IBP must attach great importance to good Party conduct and clean governance and to the regulations on integrity and self-discipline, lead by example in living on a tight budget, cut outlays on non-essential and non-obligatory expenditures, follow working rules, take full advantage of their initiative in the work place, and take the lead in learning and observing Party discipline and laws.
Those present at the meeting included 13 middle-level cadres from affiliated departments of the Institute of Biophysics.
