Author: Update time: 2010-05-21

In recent years, the Institute of Biophysics has successfully developed cooperation with several hospitals in Beijing area. Recently, under the auspices of Beijing Science and Technology Association, several Academician Workstations had been established in local industries and organizations to strengthen their cooperation with senior scientists and to promote applied research and technology transfer and transformation. On May 17, 2010, an Academician Workstation was established in Anzhen Hospital, Beijing. This is the first Academician Workstation established in local hospitals. Appointed as an academician of this workstation, Dr. Runsheng Chen, an IBP Professor and a Chinese Academy of Sciences Academician started a new cooperative study with the hospital. The aim of this study is to better understand the mechanisms of heart and lung vascular diseases and thus to improve their early diagnosis.
