The 7th International conference on cognitive science held in Beijing

The 7th International conference on cognitive science was held at the China National Convention Center, Beijing, China on 17-20 August 2010. Under the auspices of International Association for Cognitive Science, the conference was organized by the Institute of Biophysics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS).  Over a thousand participants from 25 countries and regions around the world attended the conference.

Featured with 46 special reports, the conference covered all the major forefronts of cognitive science with emphasize on interdisciplinary approach and social effects. The main themes of the conference include: cognitive science and brain mapping, cognitive science and education, cognitive science and mental health, cognitive science and information science, cognitive science and social science.
The conference served as an excellent platform for sharing of new developments and ideas and promoting exchanges and developing international cooperations in the related fields.

International conference on cognitive science (ICCS) is a bi-annual world-wide academic conference series organized by International Association for Cognitive Science (IACS) and its local partners. The purpose of the conference is to bring together researchers in various active areas in cognitive science for exchanging recent progresses made in various cognitive science research groups from different countries. The previous conferences were held in Korea (1997), Japan (1999), China (2001), Australia (2003), Canada (2006) and Korea (2008).
