Jouni Hirvonen graduated in the University of Kuopio (M. Sc. in 1989 and Ph. D. in 1994). he was a post-doctoral research scientist in the University of California, San Francisco during 1994-1996. He was granted a docentship in Pharmaceutical technology at the University of Kuopio in 1998. In 1998 Jouni Hirvonen was also nominated as a full professor in the University of Helsinki, Faculty of Pharmacy. Since 1990, Jouni Hirvonen has authored some 80 original research articles in the fields of ADME research, biopharmacy, pharmaceutical technology, controlled drug delivery, physical pharmacy and surface and colloid (nano) sciences together with 10 national and international review-articles about transdermal drug delivery, ADME research and nanoparticle technologies and 18 patents/applications. He is the editor of Dosis (the only scientific pharmaceutical journal in Finland), and a member of the editorial board, European Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences. | | |
