The Biophysical Society of China The Biophysical Society of China (BSC), a constituent society of the China Association for Science and Technology, is a nongovernmental organization for Chinese biophysicists. It is dedicated to organizing academic exchanges, promoting popular science education and science publication, advancing the development of biophysics, thus helps improve science literacy in the general public and contribute to China's modernization. BSC was founded in November 1979, it has grown into one of the most important scientific societies in China with over 10,000 members. The current president is Professor Tao Xu, CAS Member, the vice-president of the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences. In 2009, BSC established the Shizhang Bei Award, the highest biophysics honor in China, to award senior scientists, who have made significant contributions to biophysics, as well as excellent young scientists and academic leaders who are pioneering on the frontline. BSC publishes three international academic journals, including Biophysics Reports, Progress in Biochemistry and Biophysics, and Protein & Cell. ► The Biophysical Society of China CONTACT US The Biophysical Society of China, Office Institute of Biophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences 15 Datun Road, Chaoyang District Beijing, 100101, China Tel: (86-10) 64887226 Fax: (86-10) 64889892 Email: bsc@ibp.ac.cn
Biophysics Reports Biophysics Reports is a new scholarly Open-Accessed bimonthly journal that publishes novel theory, methods and protocols in multidisciplinary areas of life science since August, 2015. Biophysics Reports is co-sponsored by the biophysical Society of China and the Institute of Biophysics, CAS, and published by Springer. The target of Biophysics Reports is to set up a platform for scientists to discuss and share their theoretical and technical thoughts and methods in biological sciences. The journal welcomes submissions reporting on new theories, technologies, and specific experimental protocols applied in: biophysics, cell biology, immunology, membrane biology, redox biology, photobiology, neurobiology, oncology, biochemistry, biomechanics and mechanobiology, structural biology, molecular imaging, electron microscopy, computational biology, bioinformatics, nano biomedicine, genetics, model organisms, protein science, developmental biology, and omics, etc. The submission of research articles including data based on specific methods or techniques are also encouraged. The article types include: methods, protocols, original articles, reviews/mini-reviews, etc. As the official journal of the Biophysical Society of China, Biophysics Reports ensures an unbiased and expedient peer-reviewing process and offers free-charge open access publishing. The article-processing charges for this journal are kindly sponsored by the Biophysical Society of China and the Institute of Biophysics, CAS. As such, authors can publish in the journal without any additional charges. ► Biophysics Reports CONTACT US Biophysics Reports, Editorial Office Institute of Biophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences 15 Datun Road, Chaoyang District Beijing, 100101, China. Progress in Biochemistry and Biophysics Progress in Biochemistry and Biophysics is a monthly, peer-reviewed journal sponsored by Institute of Biophysics, The Chinese Academy of Sciences together with Biophysical Society of China. It started publication in 1974. It mainly reports on the latest developments in biochemistry, biophysics, molecular biology and neuroscience both in China and abroad. It contains several columns such as "reviews and monographs", "rapid and short communications", "research papers", "techniques and methods" and "academic discussions". Progress in Biochemistry and Biophysics serves as a good reference for scientific research workers, college teachers and students in biology, basic medical sciences and other relevant fields. It is indexed by SCI, CA and Scopus. ► Progress in Biochemistry and Biophysics CONTACT US Progress in Biochemistry and Biophysics, Editorial Office Institute of Biophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences 15 Datun Road, Chaoyang District Beijing, 100101, China Tel: (86-10) 64888459 Fax: (86-10) 64889892 Email: prog@ibp.ac.cn Protein & Cell Protein & Cell is a peer-reviewed international journal that publishes original research articles, reviews, and commentaries concerning latest development in multidisciplinary areas in biology and biomedicine, with an emphasis on protein and cell research. The subject areas include, but are not limited to biochemistry, biophysics, cell biology, oncology, genetics, immunology, microbiology, molecular biology, neuroscience, stem cell, plant science, protein science, structural biology and translational medicine. In addition, we also address the up-to-date research highlights, news and views, and the historic stories about science and scientists. Since the launch at 2010, Protein & Cell had been quickly indexed by Medline/SCI with the current impact factor>5. The journal also realized fully OPEN ACCESS since 2014 to ensure the highest visibility to global scientists. Protein & Cell is jointly managed by the Biophysical Society of China, the Higher Education Press, China, and the Beijing Institutes of Life Science, CAS. It is managed by a team of professional staffs to handle manuscript submission, review, and publishing, and an exceptionally strong editorial board consisting of internationally renowned experts in different subject areas to uphold a high standard for our content and to ensure an unbiased and expedient reviewing process. We sincerely hope that these combined efforts will turn this journal into a congregating forum to foster academic exchanges among researchers across different fields of life sciences. ► Protein & Cell CONTACT US Protein & Cell, Editorial Office Institute of Biophysics, Higher Education Press Chinese Academy of Sciences 4 Huixindongjie, 15th floor 15 Datun Road, Chaoyang District Beijing 100029, China Beijing, 100101, China Tel: (86-10) 64888620 Tel: (86-10) 58556485 Fax: (86-10) 64889892 Fax: (86-10) 58556034 E-mail: protein_cell@biols.ac.cn E-mail:protein_cell@pub.hep.cn Biochemical Journal The Biochemical Journal is a peer-reviewed scientific journal which is published by Portland Press and was established in 1906. The Biochemical Journal publishes papers in English in all fields of biochemistry and cellular and molecular biology, provided that they make a sufficient contribution to knowledge in these fields. Papers may include new results obtained experimentally, descriptions of new experimental methods of biochemical importance, or new interpretations of existing results. Novel theoretical contributions will be considered, although these papers should also contain some experimental testing of the theory. All work presented should have as its aim the development of biochemical concepts rather than the mere recording of facts. Preliminary, confirmatory or inconclusive work will not be published. The journal is abstracted and indexed in BIOBASE, BIOSIS, CAB International, Chemical Abstracts Service, Current Contents, EMBASE, International Food Information Service, MEDLINE/Index Medicus, ProQuest Information & Learning, and the Science Citation Index. Science in Asia has been developing rapidly in recent years in both quality and quantity. The Biochemical Journal spotted this trend more than 10 years ago and they have been building strong links with top-level Asian researchers through appointments to the Editorial Board and by the opening of an editorial office in Beijing headed by our Vice-Chair Asia-Pacific, Professor Tao Xu, at the Institute of Biophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2011. ► Biochemical Journal CONTACT US Biochemical Journal, China Editorial Office Institute of Biophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences 15 Datun Road, Chaoyang District Beijing, 100101, China Tel: (86-10) 64888573/1296 Fax: (86-10) 64888573 Email: lin.huo@portlandpress.com
