On September 11, the Institute of Biophysics (IBP) and the Institute of High Energy Physics (IHEP)signed the agreement for building Beijing synchrotron radiation protein structural and functional research center. Mr. Xu Tao, director of IBP, and Mr. Chen Hesheng, director of IHEP signed the agreement on behalf of their respective institute. IBP Assistant Director Sun Ming, IBP platform director Wang Xiang, IHEP assistant director Jiang Xiaoming, IHEP academician Xian Dingchang attended the signing ceremony.

Xu Tao Said, IBP and IHEP had a long history of cooperation. With the development of science and technology, the two institutes should have broader prospects for cooperation. In addition to technical methods, there should be closer co-operation, such as in the transformation of the beam line, building new beam Line station, the application of research project.
