P&G Vice President of Global R&D Technology Visits the Institute of Biophysics
On Aug. 6th, a delegation from Procter & Gamble led by Mr Gerard Baillely, the Vice President of Global R&D Technology, visited the Institute of Biophysics (IBP).
P&G is a global company with interests in the areas of pharmaceuticals, cleaning supplies, personal care, and pet supplies, which pays great attention to innovative research and technology in their production processes. Recognizing IBP as China's leading biological research institution, P&G has expressed a wish to establish cooperation with IBP through joint projects, and PhD student exchanges.
IBP’s Division of International Affairs arranged for Vice-Director Prof HE Rongqiao to meet the delegation. After a brief overview of the Institute, the delegation visited the protein science core facilities, the center for brain mapping and the cryon electronic system.
This visit provided a good opportunity for the P&G delegation to see first-hand some of the scientific strengths and distinctives of IBP, and also facilitated discussions about future areas of cooperation.
