Professor Vadim T. Ivanov

Professor Vadim T. Ivanov is member of Russia Academic of Sciences, member of India Academic of Sciences, and also member of Europe Academic of Sciences. He is also the editor in chief of journal ?Bio-Organic Chemistry? and the "Peptide Science" Journal Editorial Board consultant. During his staying in China, He planed to visit the Institutes of the Chinese Academy of Sciences respectively, for academic reports, academic advice, research guidance on personnel training and scientific research cooperation program and so on, so that to promote the academic exchanges in related fields.

On April 14, professor Ivanov came to visit IBP. The director of IBP, professor Tao Xu gave him a warm welcome. Both of them gave a brief introduction about each institute, and expressed the wish of carrying out scientific cooperation with each other in the future. Subsequently, professor Ivanov met with academician Mr. Dongcai Liang and academician Mr. Fuyu Yang. Academician Mr. Dongcai Liang recalled the unforgettable experience while he had studied at the former Soviet Union several decades ago. He also introduced recent development of science research of his group. Academician Mr. Fuyu Yang warmly received academician Ivanov. With detailed ppt report, Mr. Yang gave a brief introduction about his science research group.
After the meeting, accompanied by professor Zhijie Liu and depute director of international affairs department Mr. Xiaoke Xia, professor Ivanov visited the protein science platform and proteomics platform of IBP.

Later, academician Ivannov gave a academic lecture at IBP with the name of ?Peptidomics as a novel branch of postgenomic technologies?.

According to the reception plan, academician Ivanov will also visit Shanghai Institute of Organic and other institutes. Through his visiting, it will effectively promote the science and technology cooperation between China and Russia.
