Genomic instability is a key driver of neurodegenerative diseases, cancer, and immune-inflammatory disorders. DNA damage triggers repair mechanisms and activates intricate cellular signaling pathways that ultimately dictate cell fate-repair, apoptosis, or senescence.
Our main research topics include:
1. DNA Repair with epigenetic regulation.
2. Functional mechanisms of DNA damage in postmitotic cells like neuron and macrophage.
3. The role of non-coding RNAs and other epigenetic factors in DNA damage and repair.
