Our team has conducted systematic research on the molecular mechanism of diabetes. Recently, we focus on pancreatic islet, an essential organ which secrets insulin and is responsible for glucose homeostasis. We are developing novel strategies for establishment of islet organoid, and employing islet organoid as a promising model for investigating the developmental mechanism of islet and the pathogenetic mechanism of diabetes.
