Updated: 2020-07-04

To support the launch of satellites and the work of astrodynamics, the CAS Institute of Biophysics has worked with its partners to successfully send five rockets into space to undertake relevant biological research work, laying a solid foundation for the development of the Chinese manned space program. The institute was consequently honored at the National Science Conference in 1978.
