Research assistant, post-doc positions are available in the laboratory of Dr. Liu Ning at IBP, CAS

The main research direction of Dr. Liu Ning's group at the Institute of Biophysics (IBP), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) is the neural mechanism of social cognition and its related mental illness. The lab is looking for highly motivated persons to fill the post-doc and research assistant positions.

 

Requirements and responsibilities

 

I Research assistant (1 position)

 

Responsibilities

 

1. Undertake research works related to experimental operation, instrument maintenance, data analysis, and laboratory assistance.

 

2. Assist research leaders and members to complete research-related works. 

 

Requirements

 

1. Applicants should hold a bachelor's degree or higher in the field of neuroscience, computer science, electrical engineering, physics, mathematics and related fields.

 

2. Be familiar with the scientific research ideas in this group, or master the physical principles and methods of magnetic resonance imaging, or have a certain foundation for the processing of magnetic resonance image data; satisfying at least one of the above, while more than one is preferred.

 

3. Applicants who have published papers in international academic journals are preferred;

 

4. Applicants with programming and modeling abilities are preferred;

 

5. Applicants who can work steadily for long-term are preferred;

 

6. Ardent in researches, diligent, creative and studious, able to carry out scientific research independently, and have a strong spirit of enterprising and teamwork;

 

7. Proficient in both written and spoken English.

 

II Post-doctor (1 position)

 

Responsibilities

 

1. Able to carry out research projects and write thesis independently;

 

2. Assist research leaders and members to complete research-related works.

 

Requirements

 

1. Possessing or will soon receive a doctor's degree in neuroscience, computer science, electrical engineering, physics, mathematics, automation, psychology and related fields;

 

2. Familiar with the scientific research ideas in this group, or master the physical principles and methods of magnetic resonance imaging, or have a certain foundation for the processing of magnetic resonance image data; satisfying at least one of the above, while more than one is preferred.

 

3. Applicants who have published papers in international academic journals are preferred;

 

4. Applicants with programming and modeling abilities are preferred;

 

5. Ardent in researches, diligent, creative and studious, able to carry out scientific research independently, and have a strong spirit of enterprising and teamwork;

 

6. Proficient in both written and spoken English.

 

Salary and benefits
