Huairou Interdisciplinary Research Center for Biological Intelligence, Institute of Biophysics, Call for Applications Huairou Research Group Leader, Huairou IBP Fellow
The Institute of Biophysics has established several major research facilities and platforms in Huairou National Science City, including: the "13th Five-Year Plan" National Major Science and Technology Infrastructure-Multimodal and Cross-Scale Biomedical Imaging Facility (co-built with Peking University); the second batch of interdisciplinary research platforms co-built by the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Beijing Municipality-Brain Cognitive Mechanisms and Brain-Computer Integration Cross-Research Platform (led and co-built with the Institute of Automation); the Academy's "13th Five-Year Plan" Science and Education Infrastructure-Brain Cognitive Function Atlas and Brain-like Intelligence Cross-Research Platform (co-built with the Institute of Automation); and the Academy's "14th Five-Year Plan" Science and Education Infrastructure-Biomacromolecular Drug Innovation and R&D Platform. Building upon the "one facility and two platforms" in Huairou, the institute has established the Huairou Interdisciplinary Research Center for Biological Intelligence to extend the institute's research layout, continue to promote interdisciplinary collaboration, and advance technological innovation and application.
In line with the institute's development needs, the Huairou Interdisciplinary Research Center for Biological Intelligence is now openly recruiting Huairou Research Group Leaders and Huairou IBP Fellows from both domestic and international candidates. The research directions for the relevant key laboratories are as follows:
Huairou Research Group of National Key Laboratory of Biomacromolecules: In situ cryo-electron microscopy methods and applications; Adjuvant immunology (interdisciplinary between materials chemistry and immunology).
Huairou Research Group of National Key Laboratory of Epigenetic Regulation and Intervention: Epigenomic editing; Epigenetic regulation of development and immunity; RNA imaging.
Huairou Research Group of National Key Laboratory of Cognitive Science and Mental Health: Ultra-high field magnetic resonance sequence and radiofrequency technology development; Novel magnetoencephalography (MEG) technology development; Multimodal fusion imaging technology development; Non-invasive and invasive brain-computer interface technology development; Interdisciplinary research in artificial intelligence, big data, and brain science; Neural mechanisms and computational modeling of advanced cognitive functions; Mechanism research and translational applications of cognitive disorders, mental health, and neurodegenerative diseases.
IBP Fellow Application Requirements:
1. PhD degree obtained within the past three years (exceptionally outstanding candidates may be extended to five years).
2. Outstanding achievements in the relevant professional field, with the ability to lead and organize research teams, and excellent potential for technological innovation and development.
3. Forward-looking research direction and clear research plan, distinctly different from and complementary to existing research directions within the institute, or with clear division of labor in important existing research fields of the institute.
The Institute of Biophysics will provide comprehensive support to applicants:
I. Support Conditions:
Project Support: The institute will strongly assist selected candidates in applying for talent programs at the national, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and local levels.
Research Conditions: The institute will provide corresponding resource allocation, research space in the Huairou Center and office space at Datun Road, and complete public technical support, with specific standards to be negotiated with selected candidates.
