Research Interests

We combine multidisciplinary approaches including structural biology, biochemistry, cell biology and single-molecule biophysics to understand epigenetic regulation and DNA damage repair. Focus areas:

1. Nucleosomal histone post-transcriptional modifications (PTMs) in the DNA damage response.

2. Dynamic process of nucleosome editing (exchange of histone H2A.Z variant) catalyzed by the chromatin remodeling complex SWR1.

3. Structure of variant nucleosomes and their regulatory mechanisms for dynamic changes of chromatin structure.
