IBP Graduate’s work recognized by the International Union of Crystallography

The conference was attended by 626 participants. ZHOU’s work titled “structural and functional study on human prostaglandin synthase and fatty acid complexes” stands out of 332 posters demonstrated during the conference and was the only one in biological science had won the award conferred by the International Union of Crystallography. Because of her research excellence, Zhou also received a travel award of the conference. Zhou is one of my best graduate students, said Professor LIU Zhi-Jie, a structural biologist and Zhou’s supervisor at the Institute of Biophysics, “she is not only intelligent but also works very hard. ” ZHOU is now in the second year of her Ph.D. study at IBP. This talented young lady is very optimist about her future career in the academic research.
