Peng Xingsi, Party chief of Shaoying Manchu Township in Huairou district, Beijing, conducted an inspection tour of the Institute of Biophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences on Nov 25.

Peng first visited the electron microscope facilities at the Center for Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging and learned more about the IBP's history. A meeting was later held to discuss future in-depth cooperation.

Xu Ruiming, director of the IBP, extended a warm welcome to Peng, and expressed his thanks to Huairou district government for its assistance in the establishment of a cooperative relationship between the township and the IBP. He also provided an introduction to the institute and its strategic layout within Huairou.

Peng said that Huairou has built an excellent platform for communication and mutual benefits between the institute and the township. He underlined that the township Party committee and government would spare no effort to help the IBP's strategic layout within Huairou and to promote the two side's cooperation and mutual improvement.

A meeting is held to discuss the in-depth cooperation between the IBP and Huairou district during Peng's inspection on Nov 25.
