On June 18?2008, the director of Brain Institute of Queensland University of Australia, professor Perry F. Bartlett came to visit IBP. The deputy director of IBP professor Rongqiao He and the deputy director of international affairs department Mr. Xiaoke Xia met him warmly.

First, professor Rongqiao He introduced the basic situation of our institute, such as the history, the research directions, the research groups, the academic achievements and so on.

Because professor Bartlett is also doing research about brain, therefore professor Rongqiao He held a meeting to introduce The Center of Brain and Cognitive Science of IBP to the guest. Professor Rongqiao He, professor Baolu Zhao, professor Zengqian Yuan, professor Li Liu, and professor Shigang He introduced their science research respectively. The great academic achievements in brain science research of IBP gave professor Bartlett a great impression.

After the meeting, Professor Bartlett visited the Protein Research Platform, Beijing MRI Brain Imaging Center and the Joint Laboratory of Structural Virology and Immunology. Professor Bartlett said that the Joint lab was a good example for science institutes to cooperate with each other. He was very interested in it, and he hoped to have the chance to cooperate with IBP in the near future.

When Professor Bartlett is leaving, he said he had had a pleasant stay in IBP, and wished to visit IBP in the future.
