Contributions of the visual ventral pathway to long-range apparent motion

Author: Update time: 2009-08-08

In their long-range apparent motion functional MRI studies on the primitives of visual form perception, Professor Chen Lin’s group discovered biological (fMRI) evidence supporting the hypothesis that invariants at different geometrical levels, based on topological properties, are the primitives of visual form perception. Their results suggest that long-range apparent motion is associated with neural systems for form perception.
