Research on the Structure of Insulin
The crystal structure of insulin is the first three-dimensional protein structure that Chinese scientists have ever discovered. The CAS Institute of Biophysics has made remarkable achievements in the research of insulin and the crystal structure of its derivative products, and thus promoted the development of China's structural biology. The institute was presented with an award at the National Science Conference in 1978 and a second-class merit citation at the National Natural Science Award in both 1982 and 1989.
