Advanced Structure of 30-nanometer Chromatin and Cell Fate Determination
In April 2014, the CAS Institute of Biophysics became the first research body in the world to successfully uncover the delicate structure of 30-nanometer chromatin fiber and explain the secret of the transportation of genetic information in living organisms. The discovery has helped usher in a new scientific frontier and been written into internationally renowned textbooks related to biochemistry and structural biology. In addition, the research was selected by the CAS for a list of landmark scientific achievements during the 12th Five-Year Plan (2011-2015).
