Structure and Function of Higher Plants' Light-harvesting Complex
The CAS Institute of Biophysics has been engaged in exploring the formative principles of photosynthesis amongst plants at molecular and quasi-atomic level, uncovering the formation, identification and regulation of molecules in the process of photosynthesis, and leading theoretical studies of photosynthesis. In addition to being bestowed with a second-class merit citation at the National Science Award (2014) and a first-class merit citation at the Beijing Science and Technology Award (2013), the research was twice selected for lists of top ten Chinese news stories concerning scientific and technological progress, and put into a CAS list of landmark scientific achievements during the 12th Five-Year Plan (2011-2015).
