Infection Mechanism of Pathogenic Microorganisms
The research makes an analysis of complete virus particles in pathogens related to bird flu, hand-foot-mouth disease, Hepatitis A, herpes simplex, and gram-negative bacteria, and of the three-dimensional structure of important protein complexes. Its interpretation of the infection mechanism of pathogenic organisms has provided the prevention and control of major infectious diseases with structured information and theoretical guidance. The findings won a first-class merit citation at the Beijing Science and Technology Award (2010) and were selected for a CAS list of landmark scientific achievements during the 12th Five-Year Plan (2011-2015).
