The CAS Institute of Biophysics has proposed new concepts of nanozymes, promoted the research of its working mechanism and application, given a definition of active nanozymes, and opened new frontiers in relevant fields. Its findings have been selected into annual CAS lists of top ten scientific achievements twice (2007 and 2012). Moreover, relevant research won the institute a second-class merit citation at the National Natural Science Award in 2012 and the Atlas Award in 2015.
