Circular Dichroism – Chirascan Plus

Circular Dichroism (CD) is the most common method for studying protein secondary structure, and is the rapid, simple and apparently accurate method for studying protein conformation in solution. CD spectrum can be obtained in solution and is sensitive to conformational change.

CD Chirascan Plus is the new instrument for the core facility.

CD Chirascan Plus can give out the full-wavelength CD spectrum, UV absorbance spectrum with the temperature change, as well as the multiple thermodynamic parameters including the transition temperature Tm, thermodynamic enthalpy ΔH, etc. Thus the structure and stability of biomacromolecule will be estimated, so that the mechanism of biomacromolecule interaction and conformational change will be illustrated.
