Determined the detailed three-dimensional crystal structure of avian H5N1 influenza virus RNA polymerase subunit PA (PAC) in complex with the PB1 peptide (PB1N) as well as the 3D structure of avian influenza virus polymerase PA amino terminus (Nature, 2008, 2009). These results filled the blank in the structure of avian influenza virus polymerase and revealed potential targets for novel anti-influenza therapeutics.
