Founded in 1989, the National Laboratory of Biomacromolecules (NLB) carries out cutting-edge basic research on structures and functions of biomacromolecules to address important scientific questions in life sciences utilizing an interdisciplinary, innovative, and systematic approach. Since its establishment, NLB has played a national-wide leading role in life science and technology innovation. It has made significant contributions to enhancing the innovative ability of life sciences in China and to the sustainable development of the Chinese economy.
