4) Molecular mechanism of blood sugar related regulatory secretion
Revealed several important physiological regulatory pathways, such as vesicle anchoring, initiation and integration through innovative research methods and introducing C. elegans as a new model subject in secretory vesicle research (Cell Metab, 2006, 2007; Neuron, 2007). The systematic study provides molecular insights into the mechanism of regulated secretion and the key steps in blood glucose regulation and may lead to new strategies of preventing and treating diabetes. This series of results won the National Natural Science Award in 2008.
